A mile and a half treadmilling this morning followed up by 1/4 mile around the new Ashford park. It is beautiful in Ashford today, warm and sunny - 50 degrees.
Two, count 'em, two separate elk encounters on the road trip home from the Farber's Hallelujah Acres food encounter last night. Elk #1, in the road, elk # 2, caught in the act of stepping out onto the road. Gotta get a cow catcher.
We had a coyote walk thru yesterday, about 100 ft out. They certainly look more attractive with their heavy winter coats. Guess I should have taken a picture.
Raining big time. Oh well, I'm in yet another cast so stuck in the chair again. Rain and wind promised for tomorrow as well causing Rose to cancel (probably) her planned snowshoe trip to Pebble Creek (start at 5,400 ft, go to 7,800 ft).
Since we are going in to Puyallup to the Farber's "event" (kickoff for the Hallelujah Acres weight loss program), we decided to forego our 4Square church going (2 hr round trip travel time) and try the local Ashford Baptist church (5 miles away).
Rose scheduled a hike at Packforest that started at ten. Must have been great weather there because it was/is great here. Packforest is next to Eatonville. I stayed home with Polly. I still have a cast.
Our best friends, the Farbers (John & Sharon), came over for New Years eve day and New Years day. Fun as Rose and Sharon joined a few of Rose's friends for snow shoeing and John and I watched some videos.
