ticked again

Polly and I (Ted) went on a hike at Elbe Forest (about 4 miles and new to us), when we got back, Rose spotted a tick on Polly's face (unattached) and grabbed it off and squished it. Stinkin ticks.

Looks like a full moo, beautiful night here in the woods.

Polly got ticked

Yes, it was Polly's turn at the tweezers this morning as Rose discovered a tick on her belly. Got the tweezers and extracted it, it was already dead from the Frontline. Big ol red spot though, just like Rose's. ew.

Must be my turn next but I can wait.

little hike

5 mile loop at Pac Forest B4 the rain. Yup, with Polly and Rosie. And lo and behold, Google Earth accepts Garmin data.

Rose got bounced from the jury pool today, yay.

Polly and I got in a short walk with 2 or 3 rain showers, hope we shrink.

And of course, dug some more river rock and sand to fill my propane tank hole, foo.

Poly and I are currently hunkered down and trying to figure out how to get to the program files on the old Win XP laptop (like a fool, I reloaded the OS).

Jury duty again

Rose had to report in Judge MacArthy's courtroom @ 9:15 this a.m.

Polly and I are having a snow day (no, it isn't snowing or even raining).

Girly Girls

The girly girls (Shadle tribe) came and visited for 3 days, I scored a bit of poison food here and there :)

more Valentines

Rose had salmon and garlic potaetos, I had Yak burger and garlic potaetos (self defence) and a beer. Then we split blackberry pie ala mode.

We'll put the halos back on now.

Valetines day.

Rose gave me salmon and chile chocolate, I gave her a book (Together at the Top of the World).

6.28 miles today, 3870 ft altitude, 2,100 ft of it gain. Rose steered Polly today. Tired out.

Went 2 miles up, 1,200 ft gain, 1 hour. Returned in 53 minutes. whew

There not cute anymore. They came back last night and decimated the Pyramidal's, ate the small Hinoki cypress and started in on the Coral Bark maple.

Stinkin Elk

When we came home last night, Polly was really going off about something in the NE corner of our yard. This morning we could see what, 4 elk had decided to bed down. Around subrise, they rose and mosyied down the road.
