Up tic tac road 2X.

Yesterday I took Polly and Bronka up tic tac road, 1.06 miles up and of course another 1.06 miles down. We made a total elevation gain of 1,000 ft. 1,433 at the truck and we pressed on to make it 2,433. I like round numbers. Don't get me wrong, 950 ft would have been round enough, it's just that when I checked, we were a few feet from an even thousand.

But the Pollinator had no appetite for a tasty chicken strip when mommy (Rosie) came home and seemed droopy. Later she ate her dinner but was still droopy and lethargic. Mommy got up at 1:30 and pottied her. She ate breakfast, but still, not quite up to snuff. Rosie went to town to get a permanent and stock up at Costco, etc.

Well, daddy's gotta walk Buster anyhow and Polly was all kinds of perky when the shoes went on. Fine, instead of leaving her to convalesce I'll take her to and turn back when/if she droops. We called Bronka and picked her up and headed to the Ashford county park. ACP is what I'll call it.

At the ACP we parked at the usual place, below the main gate. The ACP is closed in the winter so that's a convenient place and I like it (the parking place) in that it's next to Gary Olsen, the fire chiefs' house. If I were not to return, he would see the truck and find it suspicious (hopefully).

We made it 1.21 miles up to 2,833ft in elevation. Our goal was 3,000 but the road was covered in frozen slush so very slippery. Bronka said we should take our winnings and go home. I (and the doggies) agreed. Polly had been perky all the way up, yeah!! So, 2.42 miles and 1,400ft today. Getting there.

Good day, sunny, dogs scored a great walk, got to hike with Bronka, hiked up a little hill.
